How to Restore Microsoft Office 2007

At times your installed copy of Microsoft Office 2007 might encounter various slow downs or other critical issues. If this happens, Microsoft Office 2007 has a built-in feature that allows you to diagnose and repair multiple problems when they occur. The Microsoft Office Diagnostic utility checks Windows thoroughly to determine why any issues arise in the first place. This utility will offer the easiest work-around for restoring your Office suite to its original, smooth and working state.

Click "Start" and then click "All Programs." Click the "Microsoft Office" folder and then click the "Microsoft Office Tools" folder. Click the "Microsoft Office Diagnostics" application shortcut. The Microsoft Office Diagnostics dialog box will display on the screen.

Click the "Continue" button and then click the "Run Diagnostics" button after reviewing which options will run.

Click the "Continue" button after the diagnostics testing finishes. Click the "Detailed Results" button to view any changes made and whether the application was able to resolve the issue.

Click the "Continue" button and then click the "Close" button to exit the Microsoft Office Diagnostics dialog box.

Tip

  • check In the Windows Control Panel you can use the Uninstall program option and then click the "Change" button. Office 2007's dialog box will appear, allowing you to try to repair the issues.

Warning

  • close A full re-installation of Office 2007 might be necessary and can be done with the disc.
