My Gateway Laptop Won't Boot Upby TS Jordan
A non-booting Gateway laptop computer indicates a fairly severe problem with the operating system files on the drive. Restore your computer to factory fresh working order using the recovery discs which shipped with your Gateway computer. This will restore the operating system to pristine condition, enabling you to once again use your system without restriction.
Insert the recovery disc into the system. Restart the laptop.
Press any key as prompted to boot from disc.
Press "R" as prompted to start the recovery.
Select the "Non-Destructive" system restore option. This restores the computer without removing your personal files.
Select "Yes" to confirm.
