How To Sync a Laptop & Desktop Wirelessly

by Erick Kristian

Syching two computers is easy to do using the native Windows "Sync Center." This program comes with Windows and works with Windows-sharing service to automatically sync drives over the same wireless network. A wireless network is like a Local Area Network (LAN) and all the computers on that network are aware of each other. This network helps transmit information from laptop to desktop

Turn on both computers. Open up "My Computer" on the first computer by clicking "Start" and "My Computer." Right-click on the main drive that will be synced. Click "Properties," "Sharing," "Share" and "OK."

Right-click on the now-shared drive and click "Always Available Offline;" this will enable the drive to be synced wirelessly over the network with multiple computers.

Open up "My Computer" on the second computer by clicking "Start" and "My Computer." Right-click on the main drive that will be synced. Click "Properties," "Sharing" "Share" and "OK."

Right-click on the now shared drive and click "Always Available Offline;" this will enable the drive to be synced wirelessly over the network with multiple computers. Now both computers will be synced wirelessly whenever changes are made to one or the other.
