by Oliver Hill

Your Dell Inspiron 1100 can get infected by Trojans and other nasty viruses and malware from the Internet. If you're suffering a serious hardware or operating system problem, you may consider resetting your computer to its original factory settings. Doing this will reset your Dell Inspiron to the state it was in when you first turned it on.

Turn on your laptop. When the Dell screen appears hold "F11" and "CTRL" simultaneously.

The Dell Restore screen will appear. Click the "Restore" button on the left side of the screen.

Click on the "Confirm" button. A progress bar will show the progress of the system restore. Click "Finish" when the process is complete.

  • check Back up any documents or other files you wish to keep. Resetting your computer to factory default will remove all your personal files.
