How to Put a Wallpaper on an iPhone Home Screen
By Editorial Team
Updated May 12, 2020
iPhones that run iOS 4 or later support wallpapers on the Home screen and the Lock screen. Although the iPhone has a gallery of built-in wallpapers you can select, you can also use a custom picture from your photo gallery, including pictures taken with your iPhone's camera and pictures saved from Web pages. In addition, you can adjust the area of the picture that you want to use.
Tap "Settings" on your iPhone's Home screen and tap "Wallpaper."
Choose from dozens of wallpaper background options that come with iPhones. Tap the icon for the wallpaper you wish to use and tap "Set" to apply it.
Press the "Home" button and tap "Photos" if you want to use one of your own photos as the wallpaper. Tap "Camera Roll" and tap the photo you want to use. Tap the "Send" icon on the bottom left of your screen and tap "Use as Wallpaper." Use two fingers to zoom in or out of the photo and tap "Set" to apply the custom wallpaper.
