How to Autofill in Firefox

by Jim Campbell

The autofill option in Firefox lets you autocomplete form elements as you fill out information on a website. This option is turned on or off in your Firefox settings. If you turn off the autocomplete function, you must type in each form element each time you place an order or send information to an online company. Enabling the autocomplete option requires only a few steps.

Open your Firefox browser software. Click the "Tools" menu options. Select "Options" from the menu. This opens a configuration window.

Click the "Privacy" button. Click "Use custom settings for history" to open a new window.

Check the option box labeled "Remember search and form history." Click the "OK" button to save your settings.
