How to Use Evernote As a Journal

Keeping a personal journal is one way to chronicle your daily events and thoughts. Although journals are traditionally kept on paper, electronic methods are also available. Evernote is an online service that allows you to create notes, save images and record voice reminders to stay organized and remember information. You can use the note taking function on Evernote to write notes and keep a personal journal.

Go to the Evernote website, at evernote.com. If you do not have an Evernote account click "Create Account" at the top of the page and complete the registration. Sign in to Evernote using your account information.

Create and name a notebook to organize all of your journal entries. Select "New Notebook" from the "Notebooks" drop-down menu on the left-hand side of the page.

Select your new journal notebook and click "New Note" button at the top of the page. After you complete your entry, click "Done" to save the note.

Tip

  • check Add a "journal" tag to your notes. It will make finding notes easier.
