How to Connect Bluetooth to an LG Phone
By Stephen Lilley
Bluetooth technology permits wireless connections to cell phones through headsets. This can be beneficial when driving or when holding a cell phone is inconvenient or dangerous. With a Bluetooth device, calls can be made and received hands-free. Like most cell-phone manufacturers, LG phones are compatible with Bluetooth, and connecting the two can be done in a few steps.
Put the Bluetooth headset in "Discovery" mode. Press and hold the button on the side of the headset until the light on the device stays a solid color. The headset will emit a signal that can be detected by the phone.
Put the LG phone in "Pairing" mode. Open the phone's main menu and select the "Settings" option and then "Bluetooth." This sends a signal to the phone to search for Bluetooth-compatible devices.
Allow the phone to search for available signals. This can take up to thirty seconds.
Select your Bluetooth headset from the list of "Found Devices." Highlight the name of your headset using the phone's arrow keys and press the "OK" button.
When the light on the side of the Bluetooth headset turns a solid blue color, the headset and LG phone are connected.
