How to Change the PIN for Pairing a Bluetooth Headset on an Android Phone
By Chris Hoke
A Bluetooth headset uses short-range wireless technology to connect to your Android phone, enabling you to talk hands-free from up to 8 meters away. When you first pair a Bluetooth headset with your Android phone, you'll need to configure it using the headset's PIN. This PIN is a number that helps your Android connect to the correct device. If you're experiencing issues connecting your headset to your phone, you might be using the wrong PIN.
Step 1
Touch the "Settings" icon on your Android phone's home screen.
Step 2
Touch "Wireless & networks."
Step 3
Touch "Bluetooth."
Step 4
Touch the Bluetooth headset listing in the list of devices.
Step 5
Type the new PIN when prompted during the device setup process, and then press "OK" to pair the headset and your Android phone.
