The Pokemon Trainer Club is an interactive section of the Pokemon website that allows you to customize an avatar, select a Pokemon team and play games to earn trainer tokens, which can be used to purchase upgrades for your trainer. The club also provides information and the opportunity to register for Pokemon: The Trading Card Game tournaments.
Launch a Web browser and navigate to the Pokemon website at Pokemon.com. Click "United States" in the Choose Your Country menu, if the site doesn't automatically default to the U.S. version.
Click "Join Now" in the upper right corner of the screen in the box where it asks you to join the Pokemon Trainers Club.
Select your date of birth and click "Continue."
Enter your first name, last name, desired username and the screen name that you want to appear next to your Pokemon trainer. Create a password and enter it again to confirm it. Enter the email address you want to associate with your account.
Check the box beneath "Account Preferences" if you want to display your Pokemon Trainer Club profile publicly. Select the privacy settings for your Pokemon Global Link profile – you can choose to make it available to everyone, just friends or nobody. Select the privacy setting – everyone, just friends or nobody – to determine who can see your Game Pal and Dream Pal rosters.
