Vizio Smart television sets come with a series of applications preloaded to enable you to access popular Internet content providers from the TV without needing to use a computer. Released in 2012, the YouTube app works from your Vizio TV's Vizio Internet Apps (VIA) system, which is accessible with a single button press from your remote control. After you've selected the YouTube app, you can browse or search using a similar process to that you'd use on your computer, tablet or smartphone.

Step 1

Press the "VIA" button on your Vizio TV's remote control to bring up the application menu.

Step 2

Scroll left or right until the "You Tube" app is highlighted then press the "OK" button on your remote to select it. (Ref 2, p. 45)

Step 3

Select a featured video by scrolling down and pressing "OK" or load the full YouTube app by scrolling to "Launch YouTube" and pressing "OK."

Step 4

Use the arrows, "OK" button and your remote control's keyboard to interface with the full version of YouTube. You can search, view featured content, view your personal content in "My YouTube" or access channels of content.

Step 5

Press the red button on your remote control to exit the YouTube app and press it again to close the app menu.
