What Is the Yield of Epson Printer Inks?

by Melanie Fleury

Different Epson printers yield different numbers of copies from one ink cartridge. Page or cartridge yield is the number of pages one cartridge of ink is capable of producing.

Epson B-310N

The Epson B-310N yields approximately 3,000 pages per cartridge of black ink and 3,500 per cartridge of color ink. It costs about six cents to print a color copy on this model.

Workforce 40

Considered Epson's most cost-effective printer, the Workforce 40 is a single-function printer that costs less than a third of a color ink jet printer. The Workforce 40 yields up to three times as much output as other single-function printers at up to twice the speed. For black ink, 890 pages is standard output, and one color cartridge can yield up to 485 pages. With the low cost of ink adding to the savings, black-and-white copies can be as low as two cents per page.

Epson B-510DN Color Ink Jet Printer

The B-510DN is Epson's most economical laser color printer. Cost per color page can be as low as four cents. You can expect up to 8,000 pages from one cartridge of black ink and about 7,500 from a color cartridge.
