How to Find Your Yahoo! Search History
By Editorial Team
Updated May 12, 2020
Your web browser keeps a record of all of your recently viewed web pages -- which includes your Yahoo! search history. You can retrieve this history as long as the history settings on your browser are set to save it for a period of time--and as long as no one has deliberately deleted the history cache. To view your Yahoo! search history, you must use the same web browser on the same local computer where you initially conducted your Yahoo! search.
Find Yahoo Search History on Firefox
Open Firefox, go to the “View” menu and select “Sidebar.” Click “History.”
Click the small downward facing arrow in the “View” field box. This opens a drop-down menu that gives you the option to select how you want to view your history. You may view “By Date and Site,” “By Site,” “By Most Visited,” or ‘By Last Visited.” Select “By Site.”
Search the list for any Yahoo! web address. Click on the Yahoo! site address where you conducted the search history you want to retrieve--such as “answers.yahoo,” “help.yahoo,” or the home page, “yahoo.com.” A list of all the pages you visited within this area of the Yahoo website will open.
Look for any entry with “Search Result” in the title. To revisit these search results, click on the entry's link.
Tips
The steps to finding your Yahoo! search history on Internet Explorer are virtually identical to the steps on Firefox, except instead of going to the "View" menu and selecting "Sidebar," in Internet Explorer, you'll go to the "View" menu and instead select "Explorer Bars." The rest of the steps are the same.
