My Yahoo Email Doesn't Show the Correct Time Sent
By C. Taylor
Yahoo Mail relies on its server's time when sending your email. If you're not in the same time zone as the server, there will be a discrepancy in the message's time stamp. However, Yahoo lets you change the default time zone, which also changes the time stamp. This time zone setting affects all Yahoo tools, so you won't find it in your email options. Instead, you must venture into your global Yahoo account settings to make the change.
Step 1
Click your name from the top of your Yahoo Mail account and select "Account Info" from the drop-down menu.
Step 2
Enter your Yahoo account password, if requested.
Step 3
Click "Set Language, Site, Time Zone" from the Account Settings section.
Step 4
Click the "Time Zone" drop-down menu and select your current time zone.
Step 5
Click "Save" to save your settings.

Tips
- If you travel out of your time zone, you'll need to manually change the time zone again if you want Yahoo to match the time in your current location.
