How to Do Wireless Multiplayer on "UNO" on the iPhone
By Joshua Phillips
Based on the classic card game, "UNO" for the iPhone is best played with friends; for this reason, the application offers three multiplayer modes: multiplayer using one device, an online mode with gamers from all over the world and a wireless mode you can play with local friends who also own the game on their devices. Whether hosting or joining a game, a 3G, 4G or Wi-Fi connect is required. To play a wireless game of "UNO," one player must first create the room, or host, and then other players may join.
Hosting a Wireless Game
Step 1
Launch "UNO."
Step 2
Tap "Multiplayer."
Step 3
Tap "Local Multiplayer."
Step 4
Tap "Create Room."
Step 5
Choose either "4 Players" or "6 Players."
Step 6
Tap "Start" after all players enter the room to begin the game.
Joining a Wireless Game
Step 1
Tap "Multiplayer" on the "UNO" main menu.
Step 2
Tap "Local Multiplayer."
Step 3
Tap "Join Room."
Step 4
Tap either "4 Players" or "6 Players." You must select the same number of players that the host did, otherwise his game will not appear in the room list.
Step 5
Tap the host's game from the room list and wait for the host to begin the game.
Tips
- These steps also apply to the iPad and iPod Touch versions of "UNO."
Warnings
- Information in this article applies to an iPhone running iOS 6.0 and "UNO" version 2.0.0. It may vary slightly or significantly with other versions of the software.
