How to Wire Bose 802 Speakers
By Greyson Ferguson
The Bose 802 is a high-end professional speaker, commonly used in sound stage performances. These speakers do not connect directly to a sound receiver, but instead a power amp, which itself is connected to an audio mixer. Although the overall connection process only requires one cable per speaker, it is different from a standard home stereo system, so if you are new to using larger, high-end speakers, it is important to know exactly how to connect the equipment.
Step 1
Insert the quarter inch cable into one of the "Channel Out" ports on the mixing board. Plug the opposite end of the cable (both ends of the quarter-inch cable are the same, so it does not matter which end you use) into the "In" port on the power amp.
Step 2
Connect a second quarter-inch cable into one of the "Out" ports on the power amp. Then insert it into the "In" port on the Bose 802 speaker.
Step 3
Connect a second Bose 802 speaker to the same channel by inserting another quarter-inch cable into the "Out" port on the first Bose speaker. Then connect the opposite end of the cable into the "In" port on the second Bose speaker.
Step 4
Repeat this entire connection process with the second "Channel Out" connection on the mixing board, if you want a stereo sound instead of a mono sound system.
