How to Find the Webcam Settings on a Toshiba Laptop
By C. Taylor
Most modern Toshiba laptops integrate a webcam into the lid for convenient video conferencing while traveling with the laptop. This webcam does not pick up images quite like the human eye does, so the default settings may require adjusting to conform to environmental conditions, such as insufficient lighting. To give you control over your webcam, Toshiba pre-installs its "Camera Assistant Software" on the laptop. This software activates your webcam and grants access to advanced settings, such as "Night Mode."
Click the "Start" button, "All Programs," "Camera Assistant Software" and then "Camera Assistant Software" again to launch the program.
Position your mouse pointer over the middle left area of your screen to display the control panel.
Click the top "Webcam" button to turn on your webcam.
Click the middle "Properties" button to open the properties window, where advanced options are available, such as "Night Mode."
Click the wrench icon, which is the fourth button down, to access additional settings.
