How to Watch TV From My PC Using FiOS

by Jason Taetsch

You can enjoy your FiOS TV service on your computer, as well as your TV. Windows includes the Windows Media Center utility that features the necessary software to display TV programs on your computer. All you will need is a TV tuner adapter to transform the feed from your FiOS set-top box to a format compatible with your computer's video card. The hook up will take only a couple of minutes, and you won't need any additional tools to establish the connection.

Plug the USB end of the TV tuner adapter into an open USB port on your computer.

Fasten one side of the coaxial cable to the "RF OUT" jack on the rear of the FiOS set-top box.

Connect the other side of the coaxial cable to the jack on the side of the TV tuner adapter.

Click "Start," and "All Programs," then click "Windows Media Center" and "TV" in the interface that appears. Click "Live TV," and the image from your TV service will appear on your screen.
