How to Find a User Profile on Yahoo
By A.J. Andrews
Over half a billion users frequent Yahoo! properties each month, and the company publishes its content in over 30 languages. Finding user profiles on Yahoo! requires minimal information concerning a user's online presence, such as her email address or username. To search the Yahoo! user profiles you need a Yahoo! user account. A user's individual privacy settings may prohibit the public display of her profile information.
Step 1
Visit the Yahoo! Pulse website. Log in using an existing Yahoo! ID, or create a user account by clicking the "Create an account" button. Enter the required registration information, create an ID and password, complete two security questions and enter the visual word code. Click the "Create My Account" button. Assess the information for accuracy, click the "Continue" button and choose a privacy setting on the pop-up window. Click the "Continue" button.
Step 2
Click the "Find People" button on the Yahoo! Pulse homepage. Enter relevant search criteria, such as an email address, in the search field and click the magnifying glass icon.
Step 3
Locate the applicable Yahoo! user from the search results and click his photo or name. Yahoo! publicly displays a user's general information, such as his location and Yahoo! membership commencement date. Click the "Get Updates" button to send him a request to connect to his user profile. Connecting to another Yahoo! user's profile allows you to view his additional information, receive status updates and converse via instant messaging.
