How to Use the Video Camera on an Acer Laptop
By C. Taylor
Certain Acer laptops come with a built-in Webcam called the "Acer Crystal Eye." This Webcam is located in the center of your lid just above your LCD screen. Those models that possess this integrated Webcam also have a program with the same name. This "Acer Crystal Eye Webcam" program allows you to record video through your Webcam and save it on your hard drive.
Step 1
Click "Start," "All Programs," "Acer Crystal Eye Webcam" and click the program shortcut of the same name. This opens up the Webcam where you can see yourself, but it hasn't started recording yet.
Step 2
Click the video camera icon, which is the one second from the left under the video display. This starts recording the video.
Step 3
Click the video camera icon again to stop recording and save your video. You can also delete the video by clicking the clip's thumbnail on the bottom panel and clicking the trashcan icon.
Step 4
Locate the video file on your hard drive in your "My Videos" folder, which can be found inside your "My Documents" folder.
