How to Use an Old Phone With Virgin Mobile
By Diana Braun
Virgin Mobile is a mobile services provider of prepaid wireless voice, broadband data and messaging services. Because no contract is required, users can quit their plans at any time. If you have an old phone that you would like to use again, do so by activating the phone through the Virgin Mobile website.
Retrieve the ESN or MEID number of your phone; the number is found under the battery and is 18 characters long. Remove the battery from the battery compartment.
Open a web browser and navigate to the Virgin Mobile Activation page.
Select "I used to be a customer and I want to restart my Virgin Mobile service" and click "Next."
Enter your old phone number and click "Next." If you don't remember your old number, that's OK. Leave the field blank and click "Next."
Enter your ZIP code and click "Next."
Click the picture that depicts your phone model on the screen.
Enter your ESN or MEID number and click "Next."
Dial "*611" from your phone's keypad.
Select "Additional Options" from the menu, then select "Calling Plans and Features."
Follow the prompts to select the plan that is appropriate for you.
