How to Use Modio on MacBook
By Kirk Bennet
Modio is a tool that enables you to modify your computer games and add extra features. For example, if a level is too difficult, you can mod the game to give you unlimited health, unlimited ammo, faster running speed or even different cursor effects. Although Modio was originally designed for Windows operating systems, you can install and use it on a MacBook. Note that Modio can be used to mod multiplayer games, but using it can get you banned from the game server.
Open the Web browser on your MacBook, navigate to Winzip.com/mac/en/index.htm and click on the "Download WinZIP Mac" button. Click on the "Download Now" button and save the file to your MacBook. Double-click on the DMG file you just downloaded and drag the WinZIP icon from the resulting Finder window to the "Applications" directory.
Go to Rjv4512.weebly.com/modio.html in your Web browser and click on the "Download File" button to download the "modio.zip" archive. Click on the "WinZIP" icon on your desktop and use it to extract the modio.zip file to a folder on your MacBook.
Change the date and time on your MacBook to "5/25/10" before you start Modio.
Open the Finder and navigate to the folder where you extracted the Modio archive. Double-click on the "Modio.app" folder, double-click on the "Contents" folder, double-click on the "MacOS" folder and run the "Modio" file. The Modio Mac interface is similar to the Windows interface.
Click on the "Game Mod Tools" button and select the game you want to modify from the resulting menu. You'll see four tabs, each containing a list of aspects you can modify. You can turn each option on and off or set it to a value.
Click on the "Player" tab to customize your character. Click on the "Display" tab to customize the things that appear on your screen. Click on the "Game" tab to modify the game settings, such as how fast time passes. Click on the "Custom" tab to see and edit custom modes.
Mod the game, click on the "Save" button and select a location to save the game file to. Run the game file whenever you want to play the modded version.
