How to Use an HP Scanner F2280

The HP Deskjet F2280 is an All-in-One printer and scanning unit manufactured by Hewlett-Packard. It is designed for everyday use and features a simple and intuitive control system that allows you to quickly and easily print, copy and scan your personal documents. The HP Deskjet F2280 comes with a copy of the HP Solution Center software which allows you to access and control all the scanning features of the device. However, you can also scan documents with the HP Deskjet F2280 by using the built-in Windows Fax and Scan utility.

Scan using HP Solution Center

Turn on the HP Deskjet F2280 and open the scanner lid.

Place a picture or document directly on to the scanner glass with the print side faced down. Position in the appropriate place using the paper size guide marks around the edges of the glass.

Click the "Start" button in the Windows task bar and double-click "HP Solution Center."

Press either "Scan Picture" or "Scan Document" to begin the scanning process. Once complete, the scan will automatically be saved to the default file location on your computer.

Scan using Windows Fax and Scan

Turn on the HP Deskjet F2280 and open the scanner lid.

Click the "Start" button in the Windows taskbar and select "All Programs." Locate the "Windows" folder and double-click "Windows Fax and Scan."

Click the "New Scan" button in the toolbar. When prompted, confirm the available settings and press the "Scan" button to begin scanning.
