How to Use an HDMI Acer Laptop

by Greyson Ferguson

An HDMI port connects two high-definition devices together, typically a HD television and an HD cable receiver. However, some Acer laptops have HDMI ports installed. This allows you to connect the HD cable/satellite receiver or a blu-ray player directly to the device. With this connection you can watch the high definition content over the screen of your laptop.

Plug the HDMI cable into the HDMI port on the back of the HD device.

Plug the other end of the HDMI cable into the HDMI port on the Acer laptop.

Power on the HD device and the Acer laptop.

Launch the preinstalled viewing software that allows you to watch television and other programming connected to the HDMI port. Once on you can view the content from the HD device on the Acer laptop screen.
