How to Use Amazon Gift Cards Without Credit Information

Online marketplace Amazon accepts a variety of payment methods for its merchandise, including electronic checks, credit cards and promotional gift cards. Amazon gift cards come in physical form and also exist solely as codes that you can email directly to a recipient. You can successfully check out on the Amazon website with only a gift card, without providing any personal credit card information.
Step 1
Add items to your cart on the Amazon website. Click "Cart" and then "Proceed to Checkout" to begin the checkout process.
Step 2
Log into your existing Amazon account when prompted or create a new one.
Step 3
Select or enter your shipping address and choose your shipping speed. Indicate that your shipping address is also your billing address if prompted.
Step 4
Enter your gift card code in the "Gift Cards & Promotional Codes" box. Click "Apply." You can now complete your order without providing credit card information, assuming that your gift card balance equals or exceeds the total cost of your order.
