How to Upload a Picture to Facebook from an Android Phone

by Curt Lanning

Facebook is a social networking giant that allows people from all over the world to connect and share information with each other over the Internet. One of the most popular things to do is to share pictures. Facebook is available just about everywhere, including on mobile phones that come with a Facebook Mobile app. Android smart phones have their own Facebook application, and Android phone users can use the app to share photos they take with their phone's camera.

Turn your phone on and when it boots up, slide your finger across the screen in the necessary direction to unlock it.

Launch the Facebook app.

Tap on the "News Feed" icon if your phone doesn't take you there first, and wait for your feed to load.

Tap the camera icon in the upper left corner of the Facebook screen.

Select to upload a photo you've already taken, or to take a new photo with the camera. If you upload a photo you've already taken, you just have to navigate to that picture and tap on it once. Then, add a caption for the photo and hit the "Upload" button. If you choose to take a new picture with the camera, take the picture, and tap the "Done" button. Then, add a caption to the photo and hit the "Upload" button.

Wait for your phone to upload the picture to Facebook. After it uploads, it will be viewable in all your friend's news feeds.

  • check You need to be connected to the Internet in order to upload photos from your phone; this can be accomplished through either a Wi-Fi connection, or over your cellular carrier's network if you have a data plan on your phone.
