How to Upload a New XML File to Blogger (5 Steps)
By Erin McManaway
Blogger is a free, customizable blogging platform you can use to share news and connect to readers across the Internet. While Blogger provides several pre-built themes to use, you can also create your own XML template, which you can then use as the layout and design for your blog. Blogger allows you to upload this file from your computer via the Templates section of your Blogger settings. Uploading your own customized XML file will help you present a blog theme that stands out from the typical Blogger templates and is unique to your own blog’s topics.
Step 1
Log in to your Blogger account.
Step 2
Click the down arrow next to the “Go to post list” or "Create new post" button and select “Template” from the drop-down menu.
Step 3
Click the “Backup/Restore” button located in the top right corner of the page. A new template pop-up screen will appear.
Step 4
Click the “Choose File” button to browse your computer for the XML file.
Step 5
Double-click the XML file to select it, and then click “Upload” to complete the process.
