How to Update Streets in Microsoft

Microsoft Streets & Trips is a map and travel application that enables users to plan trips. The maps cover the entire United States and Canada. The software allows users to search for addresses, landmarks and points of interest. It provides turn-by-turn directions and can connect with a compatible GPS device to provide real-time navigation assistance. The software also has the ability to import updates to keep maps current. To update the software, download updates from the Microsoft Download Center.
Close the Streets & Trips program if it is open. Click "File" from the menu bar, then select "Close" from the drop-down list.
Go to the Microsoft Download Center website, type "Microsoft Streets & Trips" into the search bar and click the magnifying glass icon. The results page will open.
Click the Streets & Trips update you want to download. The download page for the update will open.
Click the "Download" button, then click the check box next to "Save this program to disk" or "Save."
Navigate to the "Data" folder where the original application files for Streets & Trips was installed, and save the update in that location. For example, in Windows Vista, the Data folder can be found by going to: C:\Users\
Restart the Streets & Trips application. The update will automatically be installed.
