How to Update Magellan Roadmate 360

by Jay Darrington

The Magellan Roadmate 360 GPS unit's firmware can be updated to provide better sync with satellite signals and fix any routing bugs that occur. It's important to update the firmware regularly to ensure you have access to any new features available for the device, as well as to fix any bugs that might be plaguing the system.

Connect the Roadmate 360 to the PC with the Magellan USB cable.

Double-click the Roadmate updater on your PC to initiate the process. Wait for a window to appear displaying your Roadmate name and model.

Click the button in the Roadmate updater window to begin installing the update. Your Roadmate 360 may flicker and restart several times during the update process; this is completely normal.

Disconnect the Roadmate when the updater tells you the update is complete.
