How to Update BIN Files for a Pansat 3500
By Jason Taetsch
The BIN files for a receiver contain the software information that is necessary for the receiver to work properly. The Pansat 3500 receiver features an SD-card slot that can be used to quickly upgrade the BIN files or to transfer MP3s or photos to the receiver. After you have downloaded the necessary files, transfer them to an SD card and insert the card into your receiver.
Open a Web browser and visit the FTA Supreme download page for Pansat receivers (see "Resource" below). Click the "Download Now" link to download updated BIN files for your receiver. Save them in an easily accessible folder.
Insert the SD card into the card reader or adapter on your computer. Double-click the SD card's folder, which should appears on your desktop. Drag the downloaded BIN files to the SD card's folder. Eject the SD card from your computer after the transfer is complete.
Insert the SD card into the SD-card slot on your receiver.
Press the "Menu" button on the receiver's remote to open the Main Menu screen. Select "SD Memory" and press "OK."
Highlight the "Code" option and press "OK" to update the BIN files for your Pansat 3500.
