How to Unlock a Panasonic Viera (8 Steps)
By William Pullman
The Panasonic Viera line of televisions has a parental lock that you can set to prevent your children from watching programming with mature content. In addition, you can set the Viera parental lock to block channels that are used for gaming and to prevent access to the Internet through the television. Disable the parental lock when you want full access to your TV again without the need to input the lock code when you tune in to a blocked channel.
Step 1
Press "Menu" on the remote control, press the down directional button to highlight "Lock" and press the "OK" button.
Step 2
Enter the four-digit parental lock password using the remote control keypad.
Step 3
Press the down arrow button to highlight "Mode," and press the right or left arrows until "Off" is selected.
Step 4
Highlight "Mode" under the Channel section, and press the left or right arrow buttons until "Off" is selected.
Step 5
Select "Game," and press the right or left arrow to change it to "Off."
Step 6
Press the down arrow to highlight "Mode" under the Program section, and press the right or left arrow button to select "Off."
Step 7
Higlight "Viera Connect," and press the right or left arrow buttons to select "Off."
Step 8
Press "Exit" to save your settings and return to viewing the TV.
