How to Uninstall Roxioby Benjamin Aries
Roxio Media Manager is software that automatically installs as a "bonus" when you use many other popular programs. If you notice that Roxio is on your computer but you don't remember adding it, the program may have "piggybacked" on another recent software installation. This program is sometimes difficult to get rid of, because it is designed to resist normal removal methods. There are three general ways to remove Roxio: Through the Windows Control Panel, the Registry Editor and directly through Windows File Explorer. The first method is the easiest, while the other options are more technical.
Uninstall Using Control Panel
Right-click on the bottom left corner of the screen. Choose "Control Panel" from the list of options.
Click the "View By" drop-down menu, and select "Small Icons." Locate and click "Programs and Features."
Scroll through the list of programs. Select "Roxio Media Manager," and click "Uninstall."
Remove Using Windows Registry Editor
Press "Windows-R" to reveal the Run dialog box. Select the text area, and type "regedit" without quotation marks. Press "Enter," or click "OK."
Choose "Yes" if a User Account Control dialog box appears. This authorizes the Registry Editor program to make changes to the computer.
Double-click on "HKEY_CURRENT_USER," located in the left panel of the Registry Editor. The folder expands to show more listings. Double-click on "Software."
Right-click on "Roxio Media Manager" in the left panel of the Registry Editor. Choose "Delete." Click "Yes" to confirm that you want to delete this entry.
Double-click on "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE" in the left panel of the Registry Editor. Open the "Software" folder, and right-click on "Roxio Media Manager." Click "Delete" and choose "Yes."
Remove Using Windows File Explorer
Point the mouse to the top right corner of the screen, and then move the cursor down to reveal the menu. Choose "Search."
Type "File Explorer," and then click on "File Explorer" in the results. Double-click on "This PC."
Open the C: drive, and browse to "Program Files." Right-click on the folder called "Roxio Media Manager." Click "Delete," and then choose "Yes."
View the C: drive again. Open the "Documents and Settings" folder, and then the "A" folder. Open "Application Data."
Right-click on "Roxio Media Manager," click "Delete," and choose "Yes."
