How to Unhide a Conversation in Skype
By Nick Peers
You can protect your privacy by hiding your Skype conversations, especially when you are in a crowded place or when other people have access to your computer. Skype does not delete the conversation when you hide it from the Recent list, so you can unhide the conversation at any time manually. The conversation will also return to the Recent list automatically if you receive a new instant message to the hidden conversation. Unfortunately, Skype does not allow you to unhide a single conversation, so all hidden conversations will be returned to the Recent list. You can, however, hide individual conversations afterwards.
Step 1
Launch Skype or switch to its window if it's already running in the background. Click the "Recent" tab.
Step 2
Click "View" and then select "Show Hidden Conversations" from the subsequent drop-down menu to unhide all conversations.
Step 3
Select the conversation you wish to read to see its messages in the right pane.

Tips
- To hide the other conversations that appeared in the Recent list, right-click each conversation and select "Hide Conversation" from the menu.
- To clear all conversations, click "Tools," select "Options" to open the Skype Options window, click "Privacy" and then click the "Clear History" button; click "Delete" to confirm.
Warnings
- You can't delete individual conversations in Skype; clearing the history erases all your conversations at once.
