The Motorola Talkabout two-way radio allows users to remain in contact whether they are enjoying the outdoors or working together on the job. When you have finished talking to the person who is using the other radio, a "Roger" beep is emitted to let them know you have finished talking. If you are in a location where this beep might disturb others, you may want to turn it off. This beep can be turned off with the press of a few buttons.

Step 1

Turn the Motorola Talkabout two-way radio on by pressing the "Power" button.

Step 2

Hold down the "Menu" button for several seconds until an icon appears on the screen. "On/Off" begins to flash on the screen.

Step 3

Press the "Minus" button to turn the "Roger" beep off. If you want to turn it back on, press the "Plus" button.

Step 4

Tap the "PTT" button to save the change. You may also press "Menu" to save the change and completely exit Menu mode.
