How to Turn Off Firefox's History

by WayneC

The Mozilla Firefox Web browser comes with a history feature much like Internet Explorer's. This feature keeps track of websites visited, allowing you to monitor what websites have been visited on the computer and allowing you to easily access websites previously visited. If, for whatever reason, you wish to disable Firefox's history, you have the option to do so. By disabling the history, you prevent Firefox from tracking which websites you visit.

Open the Firefox browser and select the "Tools" drop-down menu from the top of the window.

Select "Options" and choose "Privacy."

Uncheck the "Keep my history for at least" option.

Click "OK."

Tip

  • check You can turn history back on by checking next to "Keep my history for at least."
