How to Turn on Call Forwarding on U.S. Cellular

U.S. Cellular is a major cell phone provider that offers service throughout the United States. U.S. Cellular provides a call forwarding option that lets you transfer your cell phone calls to another phone. This option is useful when you are roaming or if you do not want to have your cell phone on when you are in an important meeting or on vacation. It takes two minutes to set up call forwarding.
Call Forwarding - Immediate
Step 1
Press *71 on your U.S. Cellular phone.
Step 2
Enter "1" and then the phone number where you want calls to be forwarded. Remember to put the area code with this number.
Step 3
Press the "Send" button on your phone.
Step 4
Listen for the tones that confirm your call forwarding status.
Step 5
Press the "End" button on your phone.
Step 6
Cancel call forwarding by pressing *710 + the "Send" button. Listen for the tone that confirm the cancelation of call forwarding. Press the "End" button.
Call Forwarding - No Answer
Step 1
Press *74 on your U.S. Cellular phone.
Step 2
Enter "1" and then the phone number where you want calls to be forwarded. Remember to put the area code with this number.
Step 3
Press the "Send" button on your phone.
Step 4
Listen for the tones that confirm your call forwarding status.
Step 5
Press the "End" button on your phone.
Step 6
Cancel call forwarding by pressing *740 + the "Send" button. Listen for the tone that confirm the cancelation of call forwarding. Press the "End" button.
