How to Transfer Pictures From a Computer to a Jump Drive

by Lindsay Howell

A jump drive is just another name for a flash drive. A jump drive or flash drive connects into a computer's USB port, which means they work on any modern computer. College students use jump drives to transfer data between multiple computers. Once a jump drive is plugged into a computer, pictures copy to a flash drive after performing a few commands.

Plug the jump drive into the computer using a USB port.

Select "View Folder" in the menu called "Autoplay" that appears when the jump drive is recognized by the computer.

Open the computer folder containing your pictures. Select the pictures by holding "Ctrl" and left-clicking each file. Right-click a file and click "Copy."

Right-click the inside of the jump drive's folder and click "Paste."
