The Kindle for iPad/iPhone application lets users download and read any Kindle book directly on an iPad, iPhone or iPod touch device. The application also uses wireless syncing technology to recall the last page you read so you can keep your place in a book across all platforms. Download the Kindle for iPad/iPhone application from the Apple App Store to download all your Kindle books to an Apple device. As of March 2011, the application is free.

Step 1

Download the Kindle for iPad/iPhone app from the App Store if you haven't already, and then launch the application.

Step 2

Enter your Amazon.com login information into the fields of the registration page that appears when you first open the app. Tap the "Register" button.

Step 3

Tap the "Done" button at the top the screen. The Kindle for iPad Home screen loads.

Step 4

Tap the "Archived Items" tab at the bottom of the page. A list of all your current Kindle books loads to the screen.

Step 5

Select the book you want to transfer. The title downloads to your Kindle for iPad/iPhone Home screen.

Tap the downloaded book title on the Kindle for iPad/iPhone Home screen to open the book.
