How to Tag People in Comments on Facebook
By Aaron Wein
Facebook lets you tag your friends in different ways. For instance, you have the ability to label them in your photos, video uploads and status updates. You can also tag them while commenting on posts. After tagging someone, the friend is notified and can view or remove your tag, depending on the item's privacy settings. The feature comes in handy when you want to make sure one of your friends reads your comment.
Step 1
Log in to Facebook and place your cursor in the comment field where you want to tag someone.
Step 2
Type "@" and begin typing the person's name you want to tag.
Step 3
Click the person's name when it appears in the drop-down menu.
Step 4
Finish typing your message and press "Enter" to submit it.

Tips
- You can also tag someone without using the "@" symbol. Type the person's name, being sure to use proper capitalization. When the drop-down menu appears, click the person's name. If you do not capitalize their name correctly, the drop-down menu will not appear.
