How to Synchronize OneNote With Mobile Devices
By Necie Reed
Microsoft OneNote is a part of Microsoft Office Suite. It is a useful tool for students and educators providing more functionality and features than the average word processor software. The software application allows users to create notes and presentations, capture information from the web and collaborate with others. Microsoft OneNote can also be synchronized with your mobile device. To synchronize your OneNote desktop documents to your mobile device, you will need to install OneNote Mobile onto your smartphone. Windows Mobile operated devices and most smartphones support OneNote Mobile installation.
Connect your mobile phone to your PC using a USB cable or Bluetooth connection.
Start "Microsoft Office OneNote" on your desktop. Click the "Tools" menu and then select "Options." A dialog box will open.
Click "OneNote Mobile" in the "Category List" and then select "Install OneNote Mobile." Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation process.
Open "Microsoft ActiveSync" on your desktop. The "New Partnership Wizard" will appear.
Select "Standard Partnership" in the new Partnership Wizard and then click the "Next" button.
Click the "Synchronize with this desktop computer" button. Click the "Next" button.
Select "Microsoft Office OneNote" from the list of synchronization settings and then click the "Next" button.
Click "Finish" to initiate synchronization between your computer and mobile device using OneNote.
