How to Sync Music to a Flash Drive
By Christina Shaffer
Using a flash drive is a convenient way to transfer your vast MP3 collection to another computer or MP3 storage device, such as a gaming console. The process will allow you to enjoy your favorite tunes on the go on a variety of electronic devices.
Step 1
Locate the music folder or files you want to copy from your computer to your flash drive.
Step 2
Insert your USB flash drive into your computer.
Step 3
Click on "Start" and select "My Computer." Locate your flash drive and double-click on the storage device icon. (Your flash drive will most likely be listed as "Removable Disk.")
Step 4
Right-click the folder or music files you want to copy. Select the "Send To" option and choose "Removable Disk." Your files will automatically transfer to your flash drive. You can also transfer your files by clicking and dragging them to the flash drive folder on the "My Computer" screen. If you do not want to copy an entire music folder, select the songs you want to copy and drag them to your flash drive folder. Depending on the number of music files you are transferring, the process can take a few minutes.
Step 5
Remove your USB flash drive by clicking the green USB flash-drive icon on the Windows taskbar, highlighting your device in the list of options and clicking the "Stop" button. Remove your flash drive from the computer.
