How to Sync a GroupWise Calendar With Google

Novell GroupWise is a suite of productivity applications featuring an email client, group calendars, instant messaging and contact management. The program is designed for the office environment and is a popular platform for managing inter-office communications. You can use settings within GroupWise to sync your GroupWise calendar with Google Calendar and transfer calendar data between the applications.
Publish GroupWise Calendar
Step 1
Launch GroupWise.
Step 2
Select “Calendar.”
Step 3
Right-click the calendar you wish to publish and select “Properties.”
Step 4
Select the “Publish” tab.
Step 5
Check “Publish this calendar.”
Step 6
Copy the publish location URL listed and click “OK.”
Step 7
Launch a web browser.
Step 8
Log in to Google Calendar.
Step 9
Click “Add,” then “Add by URL” located in the bottom of the left sidebar.
Step 10
Paste the publish location URL to subscribe Google Calendar to your GroupWise calendar.
Forward GroupWise Appointments
Step 1
Launch GroupWise.
Step 2
Select “Tools,” then “Rules.”
Step 3
Click “New Rule.”
Step 4
Enter “Google Calendar” as the name for the rule.
Step 5
Set the event as “Filed to Calendar Folder.”
Step 6
Set the affected items to “Appointments.”
Step 7
Set the action as “Delegate to [[email protected]]" (i.e., your Gmail address) to forward the appointment to your Google Calendar. Google Calendar is set to automatically place new appointments sent to your Google address onto the calendar.
