How to Stop Following a Page on Facebook

After you "like" a page on Facebook, many of its posts appear on your news feed, allowing you to stay up to date on the page's activity. Tastes change over time, however, and a page you once subscribed to on Facebook may not interest you anymore. If that happens, an unwanted page's updates can bog down your news feed. If you want to stop following a page, Facebook allows you to unlike it.


Log in to Facebook and click your name at the top right corner to view your Timeline.


Click the "Likes" link beneath the cover photo to open a list of pages you have liked.


Click the page you want to stop following to open the page.


Click the "Liked" button or the gear-shaped button at the bottom right of the page's cover photo.


Click "Unlike."


  • check If you don't want to unlike a page, you can hide its posts from appearing in your news feed. From your homepage, hold your mouse on the page's update and click the drop-down menu that appears in the top-right corner of the update. Click "Hide" and select "Hide All Stories From."
