How to Speed Up Video Downloads on Your Computer

by TS Jordan

Optimizing the speed of your Internet connection is crucial for improving your enjoyment of video downloads on your PC. You can accomplish this by modifying the settings in your operating system to avoid reserving bandwidth for its own purposes, allowing you to dedicate all of your available Internet muscle toward getting your video files as fast as possible.

Click "Start," type "regedit" (without quotation marks) into the "Search" box, and press "Enter."

Navigate through the keys in the following order: "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE," "SOFTWARE," "Policies," "Microsoft," "Windows."

Right-click "Windows" and select the option to create a "New" "Key." Name this "psched."

Double-click "psched" and right-click in the right-hand window. Select "New" "DWORD." Name this "NonBestEffortLimit" and set it to "0."
