How to Find Someone I Used to Go to School With on Facebook (4 Steps)
By Sarah Morse
Facebook is the perfect tool for reconnecting with old classmates, as people usually share that information with the social network. Its search tool can return an overwhelming number of results, however, especially if you're searching for someone with a common name like John Smith or Jane Adams. With filters, you do not have to look through every result. If you're looking for a classmate, you can narrow it down by school and even graduation year.
Step 1
Log in to Facebook, type the name of the person you would like to find in the search box and click the magnifying glass or press "Enter" to search.
Step 2
Click "People" under the "Search Filters" in the left sidebar to access more search tools.
Step 3
Press the "Location" drop-down menu and choose "Education" from the list.
Step 4
Start typing the name of your school in the box labeled "Type the Name of a College or School" and choose the correct result from the list. If your friend listed her school in her Facebook profile, she should appear in the results.

Tips
- If you need to further narrow the results, choose a graduating year from the drop-down box after the school search box.
