How to Take the SIM Card out of a Nokia XpressMusic Phone
By Kefa Olang
Although the SIM card in a Nokia XpressMusic phone contains data about the device such as security information, wireless service and contacts, removing it is a troubleshooting step that can solve a number of common connection problems. You must also remove a damaged or faulty SIM card to replace it with a new one. Although the XpressMusic phone's SIM card isn't visible, removing the card from its protective slot is a simple process that takes just a few minutes to complete.
Turn off your Nokia XpressMusic phone and flip it over to expose the battery compartment.
Lift the back cover from the bottom. Refer to the user manual if you don't know how to remove the back cover. Instructions vary slightly from one model to the next.
Pull out the battery to expose the SIM card slot. Pull the SIM card from its slot. On some Nokia XpressMusic phones, you must place the tip of the phone's stylus pen in the battery compartment opening and then push the SIM card sideways to remove it from the slot.
Reinstall the battery and the cover.
- Always turn off your phone before removing the SIM card.
