How to Sign Into Picasa

by Paul Higgins

While you can launch Picasa in offline mode, certain features -- such as the ability to browse images stored in your Google+ Photos or Picasa Web Albums library -- only become available after you log in to the Picasa servers. Sign in to Picasa by using your Google account.

    • A Google account lets you sign in to all of Google's various services, such as Gmail, YouTube or Google+. Typically, your Google account username is your Gmail email address.
    • To log in to Picasa Web Albums, visit the service's home page and enter your Google account credentials. Alternatively, if you already migrated your photo library to Google+, visit the Google+ home page and log in to your account.

Click the Sign In With Google Account link.

Enter your credentials and click Sign In.

Enter the email address associated with your Google account and your password in the text fields. Click the Sign In button.

    • Click the Need Help? link if you do not remember the email address associated with your Google account or your password.
    • If you own several Google+ pages -- for example, a personal one and one advertising your business -- a new screen appears after clicking the Sign In button. Select the Google+ page whose photo library you want to import in Picasa to finish logging in to your account.
