For users that associate PowerPoint with boring board room meetings, the 2013 version of the software includes several multimedia features that will add a bit of life to your presentations. With audio and video file support, PowerPoint allows you to include moving images and sound in your presentations. To add the calming or energizing effect of flowing water to your slides, you can either add a video file or use a PowerPoint template to integrate a flowing water background into the entire presentation.

Add a Flowing Water Video File to a Slide

Step 1

Click on the slide to which you want to add the video.

Step 2

Click on the "Video" option in the Insert tab and then select "Video on My PC."

Step 3

Navigate through your directories to find the video you want to add in the Insert Video box.

Step 4

Click on the downward arrow next to the Insert button and click on "Insert" to add the video of flowing water to your slide.

Work From a Flowing Water Template

Step 1

Click on "New" in the File tab.

Step 2

Browse through the templates in the New Presentation window (see Resources). You can look for a flowing water template by typing "flowing water" as a search term into the search box at the top or navigate through the categories in the window.

Step 3

Select the flowing water template that best suits your presentation. Click on the template to generate a preview and then click on the "Create" button to load the template in PowerPoint.

Step 4

Add content over the flowing water background, just as you would over a blank slide presentation.
