Outlook Express is one of the most widely used email platforms. It has a vast amount of options and features that make it easy and efficient to use. Many businesses use Outlook Express as their primary email program. It allows a company to establish everyone with the same basic functions. Setting up your email in Outlook Express is fairly easy but requires keen attention to detail.
Open Outlook Express. The Internet connection wizard will automatically open.
Enter the name you want to appear on your outgoing emails in the "Display Name" field. This name will appear on every mail you send. Click "Next."
Type the email address given to you by your Internet provider into the "Email Address" field. Click "Next."
Enter the type of server your Internet provider uses. In most cases, this will be the Pop3 server. Click "Next."
Fill in your name and enter the name that you want to appear on your outgoing emails in the Internet mail logon screen. If you want the computer to remember you when you sign on, enter your password and check the "Remember Me" box. Click "Next" and then "Finish."
