Setting Up a Sharp Printer on a Network
By Stephen Lilley
By sharing your Sharp printer on a computer network, you allow every user on the network to use that printer. They won't have to transfer a document to a main computer in order to print--any print-capable program that they use will be able to use the Sharp printer to create a hard copy of that document. To set up a Sharp printer on a network, you just have to perform a few steps on the computer to which the printer is actually connected.
Click "Start" and then open the "Control Panel" icon.
Click once on "Network and Sharing Center."
Locate and click on the "Turn on Printer Sharing" button on the left side of the screen. Click "Apply" to display a list of printers connected to your computer.
Right-click on your Sharp printer's icon.
Click "Share." Click "Apply" to share your Sharp printer over your network. Every computer on the network will have immediate access to the Sharp printer.
